Porterhouse Steak, we worship at your meaty altar!
Porterhouse steak rules! Ben Franklin said that "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." I wonder though, did Ben ever cut into a juicy, tender, seasoned Porterhouse Steak with a sharp steak knife? The flavor of that steak is certainly certain, every time, as long as beef is around. High in protein and a sure hit in any backyard grill out, this steak outshines a sirloin and perhaps a T-Bone. It's a debatable conversation for any steak lover. A porterhouse is a choice cut, the cost: high.
There's no doubt that you can make a great impression with this meat in any situation. Food Run Fix will gladly search out the best steaks for you and get them to you promptly!
* All steaks are, by nature, completely different in price, size, weight and marbling. I trust that you grant me freedom to pick a good one for you.
To fully alleviate your concerns about steak being purchased unseen, I will take a picture of the porterhouse steaks at the store and send them to you for your approval. Beef is expensive enough without any surprises or disappointment from you with the quality (I don't want that)! Sound fair?
What's the difference between a choice or an Angus steak?
Nothing except for the breed. Angus steak is highly marbled; you'll pay more for it and Food Run Fix highly recommends it. A steak labeled "Choice" is marbled as well. Both are choice, both are delicious and grill worthy! This steak is simply this, for all of "wonder what cut that is?" people, :), including myself. It's beef tenderloin (Filet Mignon) on one side and a New York strip steak on the other side of the bone. It's very tender. Anything close to the bone is the most tender meat available. It's a simple matter of opening your wallet. Shake on the seasoning, pepper, salt and your favorite condiment ;)

Here's a nice grilled Porterhouse steak recipe.
Ingredients: 2 beef Porterhouse Steaks, cut 1 inch thick (about 1 pound each) 2 small red, yellow or green bell peppers, cut into quarters.
Parsley Pesto: 1/2 cup packed fresh Italian parsley leaves & 4 teaspoons minced garlic plus 3 tablespoons olive oil.
Cooking: Place pesto ingredients in small bowl of food processor or blender container. Cover; process until parsley is finely chopped, stopping and scraping side of bowl as needed. Spread pesto generously on both sides of beef Porterhouse Steaks and bell peppers. Place steaks and peppers on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 11 to 16 minutes (over medium heat on preheated gas grill, 15 to 19 minutes) for medium rare (145°F) to medium (160°F) doneness and until peppers are tender, turning occasionally. Remove bones; carve steaks into slices. Season with salt and pepper, as desired. Serve beef with peppers.

What goes into a great side for a prime steak? It's all debatable, but I believe it's some crispy fries or a decent boxed rice. To round it all out as a complimentary addition, I add some Birds Eye bakes along with some cheesy pasta.

Ordering:
With inflation running amok with food, fuel and everything else resembling one of those heart monitors; zig, zag, up then down, I really stand on "real time pricing". What is "real time pricing"? It means I'm actually in the store calculating true prices on your order.
That's right, a real human being making it happen for you. Prices you see on Food Run Fix are close estimates and not guaranteed to be absolute because they change every day, so I have to comb the grocery lanes, see what they got, see the prices, pick the products and give you the shout out! Just like if you were shopping yourself. Simply add your items to the cart.
Paying:
Don't pay anything, regardless of what you see in the cart until I send you the actual invoiced bill of the real time prices, sales tax and my delivery fee, right from the store. You also get the receipt; everything is open and upfront.
Lastly, remember that I am working for you! If there is anything you need to change last minute, you have my number (608) 214-8758 and email, rex@foodrunfix.com. No worries ;)
